Dr. Courtney Kaba was born and raised in Hays, Kansas. She attended Hays High School before completing her undergraduate studies at Fort Hays State University, where she obtained honors and graduated with a B.S. in Molecular Biology in three years time. Directly following graduation, she was accepted into the University of Missouri-Kansas City Doctor of Dental Surgery program, where she spent the next four years of her career. During her time at UMKC, she became a teaching assistant for multiple courses, was chosen for an honors position in the Oral Surgery Department and the recipient of the Brian Stone memorial award.

Brian D. Stone Memorial Award to recognize outstanding senior dental students who have committed to volunteerism or to helping people with special needs.

Upon graduation of dental school, Dr. Kaba decided to switch up the scenery and move to Colorado where she would continue to pursue her career in dentistry. During her time there, she worked as an associate dentist in a ski resort town, as well as began working on her continuing education with the Spear Education Center.

Spear is one of the most respected companies in continuing education for dentists, and has helped Dr. Kaba to further her knowledge on endodontics, oral surgery, implants, sleep apnea, full mouth rehabilitation and much more.

Dr. Kaba has also been an active member of the American, Kansas, and Colorado Dental Associations.

Since moving back to her hometown in 2022, she has continued to expand her education. Taking an additional 100+ hours of continuing education in implant placement, expansive orthodontics, and airway/sleep medicine. She has additionally become a member of the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics and is certified to administer botox and fillers for cosmetics and TMJ/orofacial pain.

With the knowledge she has gained over the years, it is Dr. Kaba’s main goal to provide patients with exceptional dentistry in a comfortable environment. The dentist may not be everyone’s favorite place, but it is her goal to make your experience unlike any other before. Growing up in a small town, hard work, honesty, and compassion were values engrained in her life. It is these values that have helped shape her into the practitioner she is today.

Although Dr. Kaba enjoyed her time in the mountains, she has realized there is truly no place like home. When she is not in the office you can find her spending time at the lake, exercising, or probably enjoying way too many sweets (and of course brushing afterward). She and her husband Nick, have a Goldendoodle named Remy who is their pride and joy! Together they enjoy hiking, snow sports, traveling, and spending time with family.
