Valerie was born and raised in Oberlin, KS, before going to Colby Community College for her dental hygiene education.  She has been practicing as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2001, which is the year she moved to Hays. In 2019, Valerie started her journey into Myofunctional Therapy by training with the International Association of Orofacial Myology. She joined Cedar Lodge Dental Group in the summer of 2021 and trained with Airway Health Solutions Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy. Valerie is excited to be working at Cedar Lodge Dental Group where she can help patients not only with their oral health, but also with orofacial disorders that affect sleep disorder breathing, TMJ dysfunction, kids’ airway issues, and growth and development, to name a few.

In her spare time, Valerie loves spending time with her husband, Robert, their two daughters, Camryn and Lauryn, and their four-legged family members. When they aren’t busy with their kids’ activities, they enjoy watching movies, going to the lake in the summer, and traveling.
